Alde is an old name for apple in Hardanger, and Olav Bleie now runs Alde sider and the family garden where apples have been grown since the fruit first came to the fjord. Olav is one of the producers who paved the way for silk production in Hardanger, and is a well-known face in the silk world. He is behind several of the best-selling sides in the Sideland Norway.
